GOATACRE MANOR CARE CENTRE – NURSING AND RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME
At our nursing home located in the beautiful North Wiltshire countryside, we go above and beyond because it matters.
At Goatacre Manor Care Centre we have a variety of facilities to provide the best residential, nursing and respite care for our residents. We are continuously adding to our facilities and upgrading current facilities to ensure the utmost comfort for our residents.
OUR LOCATION
A Residential and Nursing home with rural landscapes within easy access of local towns and the M4
The nursing home is within a lovingly preserved grade 2 listed building with modern enhancements set in landscaped gardens, overlooking Goatacre Cricket Club and surrounding farmland. Whilst the outlook is rural and tranquil, the home is easily accessible by car or bus. The number 55 bus operates from Goatacre Lane, next to the nursing home, every 20 minutes from 06:05 to 23:30 (from 08:00 on Sunday). The nearest railway station is Chippenham, only 20 minutes away.
OUR FACILITIES
At Goatacre Manor Care Centre we aim to create a home from home where residents are encouraged to personalise their private rooms to feel at home and comfortable.
The bedrooms at Goatacre Manor Care vary in style, shape, and size but all are lovely and have their own unique charm. While some rooms in our older buildings are cosy and quaint with that ‘homey’ feel, others are more modern. Our rooms are always beautifully decorated and we encourage and assist residents with adding those personal touches to their rooms that make it their own, including bringing in their own pieces of furniture if they so wish. In addition to the private bedrooms, Goatacre Manor benefits from a self-contained suite.
The ‘Wisteria Suite’ enables couples to remain together and receive high-quality nursing and residential care whilst retaining as much independence as possible. The suite incorporates a double bedroom, sitting room and large bathroom. The ‘Wisteria Suite’ is situated within the original Manor House and retains original period features.
In 2016 we opened a self-contained conservatory café Margaret’s’ café for residents and their families and friends to enjoy refreshments in a relaxing café style environment. The café is named after the lady that started it all Margaret O’Dea.
Located adjacent to the idyllic gardens is a traditional classic village cricket pitch. A wonderful way for our residents to spend some quality time outdoors and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. For those that fancy a tipple, a chat and a change of scenery, Goatacre Cricket club also has it’s own bar and clubhouse.
With our in house Rail Carriage Feature, residents and their visitors can enjoy “Afternoon Tea on the Train” and enjoy time with loved ones, whilst watching the scenery change outside the train window. Some of our residents simply enjoy sitting in the peace of the “Train Carriage” and watching the world go by.
